I am yet to find a site which has financial details of vanilla plantation need to know how viable is this business.

I think you are right - vanilla has a much greater range than is generally suggested, especially in frost-free areas; however, it is not necessarily viable commercially to grow outside the tropics.

Drop in if you are up this way and we could compare notes. How many plants do you have?</description>

		<description>I have recently sold a business here in Coffs Harbour and now I am looking to grow vanilla beans.

It&#039;s something we looked at years ago and after contacting Dept of Ag we realised
that the climate here in Coffs is not hot enough in summer and too cold in winter.

I would love to see the outcome of Fiona&#039;s first crop this year.

I will certainly be looking at land in far North Queensland.</description>
